Creativity with a Cause: A Charity Auction for Fashion For Cancer
At GRAYE, we believe that design has the power to inspire change. This belief was at the heart of our Morph relaunch in March 2024, where we set out to merge creativity with purpose. To mark this milestone, we collaborated with three remarkable local artists—Amie Kwok, Chris Chew, and Ron Cruz—challenging them to reinterpret the Morph Sling using recycled materials and production offcuts. This project wasn’t just about sustainability; it was about transformation and impact—breathing new life into discarded materials while contributing to a cause that truly matters. |

A Canvas for Creativity
Each artist brought their unique vision and craftsmanship to the Morph Sling, creating three one-of-a-kind pieces that embodied their personal artistic language. These reimagined creations were exhibited at Boutiques Spring/Summer 2024, where visitors had the chance to witness the fusion of artistry and sustainable design up close. Beyond being a showcase of creativity, these pieces were made available for public auction on GRAYE’s website, with a starting bid of SGD 200. Every dollar raised was donated to Fashion For Cancer (FFC)—a meaningful initiative dedicated to funding cancer research, treatment, and patient support through the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) Cancer Fund. |

Small Actions, Meaningful Impact
Through the support of our community, this charity auction successfully raised SGD 860 for FFC’s fundraiser. While this may be a small sum in the grand scheme of things, it represents a collective effort—artists, designers, and supporters coming together to make a difference. At GRAYE, we are committed to creating not just clothing and accessories, but also conversations, connections, and contributions that extend beyond fashion. This initiative is just one of the ways we hope to harness creativity for good, and we are grateful to everyone who joined us in making it possible. |
